Herbicides, tanalith-treated timber, and oil-based plastics share a common trait: they are all toxic.
At Healthy Gardens, Healthy Children, Healthy Planet, we think it’s time children were allowed to enjoy learning through outdoor play in safety.
I particularly would like to see children growing trees, wildflowers, and food on school grounds. Children take great pride in the things they grow. Growing food, trees and plants can also provide a varied and cross-curricular teaching resource, and in the case of food or trees, the resulting product can be sold to the local community or parents and carers.
We offer a wealth of information, advice, and products to help you make the most of your membership.

We are actively encouraging schools and nurseries to inform governors that glyphosate weed killers are no longer welcome where children play. We also encourage our members to implement food-growing projects; vegetable beds, fruiting plants, and orchards. Creating wildflower borders around the school is beneficial to wildlife and children!. Imagine your grounds are a haven for wildlife. There are no chemical weedkillers to poison wildflowers, so there are many food sources for our small friends. Imagine a host of minibeasts hibernating in various spots around the school. Picture taking your class outside to dig, plant and observe. Imagine if they could all take vegetables home that they have grown themselves. Imagine composting all your waste food and using the compost to grow more.
Join our growing movement. For £48.00 per annum, you can have our topical giveaway every year. For example, we gave away bean-growing kits last year, and this year’s giveaway is a set for growing onions and garlic. You will also have access to discounts and offers only available to members. We can also help you to revolutionise and enhance your outdoor resources.
